Perhaps you need B2 for university. Perhaps you want to study abroad, improve your CV or simply have an official certificate that proves what you can already do.
International ESOL turns your English level into a formal CEFR qualification.
Choose the level you are ready to prove:
B2 Communicator
A strong target for university admission and for candidates who need to demonstrate independent use of English for study, work or international opportunities.

For candidates who need advanced English or want to demonstrate a higher level for university or professional purposes.
C2 Mastery

For candidates covered by the national admission rules effective from 1 August 2025, LANGUAGECERT International ESOL at B2 or higher is specifically listed as an accepted document when all four English skills are demonstrated.
For International ESOL this means:

The regulation lists qualifying LANGUAGECERT International ESOL alongside other recognised English qualifications for the statutory B2-or-higher admission route.
Read the English version of the Polish regulation
LANGUAGECERT also confirms International ESOL among the qualifying examinations recognised for English-taught study programmes in Poland.
So if you need B2 for an English-taught programme in Poland, you do not automatically need IELTS, TOEFL or PTE.

Is LANGUAGECERT ESOL difficult to pass?
No serious English qualification should be described as an “easy exam”.
However, International ESOL has several features that make the assessment clear, predictable and candidate-friendly.
B2 Written — 50% to pass
The B2 Written exam covers:
Listening + Reading + Writing
and is passed with:
75 points out of 150
That is 50% overall.
Most importantly, those 75 points are accumulated across Listening, Reading and Writing combined.
You do not need to achieve a separate 50% pass mark in each individual Written skill.
A stronger result in one part therefore contributes to the same total Written score used to determine your overall Written result.
Speaking is separate
Speaking is assessed independently.
For B2:
25 points out of 50 = Pass
The Speaking exam lasts approximately 13 minutes.
You do not lose the component you already passed
Written and Spoken are separate International ESOL components.
If you pass Written but fail Speaking, you can repeat Speaking.
If you pass Speaking but fail Written, you can repeat Written.
You do not have to approach the entire four-skills qualification as one indivisible exam.
Take2 — your extra safety net
Worried about paying the full exam fee again if something goes wrong?
International ESOL offers Take2, an optional re-sit solution designed to reduce that risk.
Take2 can be purchased under the applicable conditions before the original exam and provides an additional attempt if the first result is unsuccessful.
Prepare to pass the first time — but know that you can have a backup plan.
