Open the scheduler with

Schedule or Edit Date & Time

and choose a time that is right for you.

You will see your chosen date and a summary.

Click PROCEED TO CHECKOUT.

You will be asked to log in (if you already have a languagecert.org account) or to create a new account. 

Enter the data needed to make the payment – you can pay by credit card or PayPal.

After you successfully register and make the payment you will see this screen.

You will be able to see all the details of your upcoming exam on your profile. You will also be able to download LanguageCert examination software – EXAM SHIELD.

Connect your wired headphones (wireless headphones are not allowed), webcam and microphone.

Download EXAM SHIELD by clicking Download. A new tab will open where you have to click Accept and Install Windows client to proceed. This procedure is similar if you have an Apple computer (macOS).

You can install Exam Shield an hour before the exam, however, this is not recommended as it does not allow for troubleshooting. It is recommended to install the software as soon as possible.

The app will be installed on your computer. Open it and click Check System.

If, by this time the system did not ask you for your personal details now is the time to click EDIT PERSONAL DETAILS and fill in your profile.

In the text field First/Middle Name(s) (Latin characters) enter your first/middle names in the standard Latin alphabet. The data has to match your Photo ID. 

In the text field First/Middle Name(s) (Native) enter your first/ middle name as they appear in your native language. The data has to match your Photo ID. 

In the text field Last Name (Latin characters) enter your last name in the standard Latin alphabet. The data has to match your Photo ID. 

In the text field Last Name (Native) enter your last name as it appears in your native language. The data has to match your Photo ID. 

If the data in your profile does not match the data on your Photo ID, it is possible that you will be unable to start the exam.

Important:
Choose the type of Photo ID that you will present the Invigilator during the exam.

On exam day

  • Ensure that no one other than you is present in the room you will be taking the exam from,
  • Ensure that there are no documents, books or other materials on your desk/table,
  • Put your phone on silent mode and place it outside of your reach, in rare cased a LanguageCert representative may want to contact you by phone,
  • The Invigilator will ask you to show your room before the start of the exam by rotating your camera 360 degrees and showing your surroundings and your desk/table. If you have an internal camera (for example in a laptop), you will be asked to rotate your whole device.
