Planning to study in English at a Polish university?
Polish regulations effective from 1 August 2025 define the documents that may be used by candidates covered by the statutory rule to prove the language of instruction at B2 level or higher. The rule can apply to admission to first-cycle, long-cycle Master’s and second-cycle Master’s programmes.
The regulation lists qualifying LANGUAGECERT International ESOL, LANGUAGECERT Academic and LANGUAGECERT LTE certificates as accepted evidence when the required level and all four skills are demonstrated. Within the statutory admission process covered by the regulation, Polish universities offering English-taught programmes must accept these listed qualifying certificates where B2-or-higher certification is required.

Is LANGUAGECERT accepted for studying in Poland?

Do I need IELTS to study in Poland?
Not necessarily.
IELTS is one accepted option, but it is not the only one. The Polish regulation also lists qualifying LANGUAGECERT certificates, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic and other recognised documents.

Is LANGUAGECERT easier than IELTS or TOEFL?
